In 2018, the construction market’s value increased 21.3% compared to 2017, recording the highest growth rate since 2011. Increase concerns both the infrastructural construction sector (23.7%) and the residential construction sector (18.7%). In the discussed period, an increase in sale of the Budimex Group’s construction segment came to 16.1% compared to 2017 and reached the bumper level of PLN 7.4 billion. In 2018, we were again the construction sector’s leader in Poland. Total value of contracts signed by Budimex in 2018 exceeded PLN 6.5 billion. According to the assumed strategy, Elektromontaż-Poznań SA was sold during the year.

The share of the infrastructure segment in total revenues from the Group’s construction and assembly services decreased from 48.9% in 2017 to 44.9% in 2018. As a consequence of gaining new railway contracts, participation of that segment in the structure of the Group’s revenues increased from 3.9% to 9.0% in 2018. The share of the residential construction remained at the level similar to the previous year and came to 46.1%.
